While the last stronghold of the Cumans was the Kingdom of Hungary, traditionally they were nomadic and spread across the vast territories of the steppes of Eastern Europe, north of the Black Sea. Cumans had great influence on the history of Kazakhstan, Russia, Georgia, Hungary, Romania, Moldavia, Bessarabia, and Bulgaria.
