Gao, Fulan Kirya. Intelligibility good among all dialects on Niger River. Fulan Kirya dialect has more limited intelligibility through heavy lexical borrowing from Fulfulde [ffm] and Humburi Senni Songhay [hmb]. The Gao dialect is dominant in all respects. Lexical similarity: 77% with Gao and Timbuktu dialects; 50% with Tadaksahak [dsq].

Used by all. Positive attitudes. Also use Bamanankan [bam]. Also use French [fra]. Also use Tamasheq [taq]. Bilingualism is not extensive (1999 J. Heath).
