Comments
Dear Aleksandr,
Thank you for this information on the number of L1 speakers for Chiquián Quechua [qxa] in Peru.
Best regards,
Charles Fennig
Managing Editor, Ethnologue
When updating information on this language, please bear in mind that Quechua speakers in the districts of Pacllón, La Primavera, and Mangas belong to the Cajatambo North Lima Quechua [qvl], as detailed in your Location line, and those three districts, according to the 2017 census, have 617 Quechua speakers. Thus (4,821 - 617 = 4,204), only 4,204 persons in Bolognesi province are Chiquián Quechua [qxa] speakers.
