The situations of Oc languages are very different from one another: e.g. the status and development of Provençal are much higher than those of Auvergnat. The population of Béarn is very different from the population of Nice area. They should be descrived separately in the page.

Dear Philippe,

Thank you for your suggestion for the placement of Oc languages on the language page in the Ethnologue.

A change such as this is somewhat outside the scope of my role as editor. However, I understand the thought behind it. The computer program places the various elements on the page to be consistent throughout the publication, so it is difficult to make an exception.
