Novgorodov alphabet based on the Latin script [Latn] 1917 - 1929

Latin script [Latn], used between 1929–1939

Editorial Action

We will add Latin script as a writing system in use for Yakut [sah] during the years 1929--1939, for inclusion in the next edition of the Ethnologue.

Dear Nurgun,

Thank you for this information on the scripts used for Yakut [sah].

The Novgorodov script is not recognized by the ISO 15924 Registration Authority, so Ethnologue does not include it as a possible script. As for the Latin script used between 1929 and 1939, I will consult with the Ethnologue Scripts editor.
