e14 had "1981 census"

Looks like the year has been removed since. And yet the number hasn't changed.

Could you either add back "1981 census" or if that's based on something else (including SIL's own estimate) add the year?

(same issue with many other languages)

Editorial Action

We will add the date for the ethnic population of Khamyang [ksu] in India, to be included in the next edition of the Ethnologue.

Dear Antoine,

Thank you for this question regarding Khamyang [ksu] in India.

I cannot tell you for certain, but it looks like when we acquired a new, more updated L1 population for this language in the early 2000s from Stephen Morey, we changed the population to 50 (from 800, which was 812 in the 1981 census). Someone (I was not part of the Ethnologue staff at the time) figured that the 800 number would fit better in the ethnic population category and put it there without carrying over the source.

I can add the source for the ethnic population, but it is somewhat conjecture on my part.

Best wishes,
