Dear Antoine,

It's the same source (2014 census) at 4% of the population, based on a country population of 36,911,000 (2020 World Bank).

This is also the source for Tachelhit [shi] (https://www.ethnologue.com/contribution/704771).

No because 4% of 36,911,000 is ~1.5m and not 4m (4,240,000)

Sorry, Antoine, I was looking once again at what I see in the current database, not on the website (where you live).

Currently, we have 1,480,000 for the L1 speaker population of Tarifit [rif]. The 4 million you see on the website is from a different source.
