We will update the Ethnologue database with the results of the 2021 Canadian census for L2 speaker populations, having already completed the L1 populations in Oct. 2022.

Comments
Antoine,
So, based on this, the L1 population of Turkish [tur] in Canada would be 51,010 and the L2 population would be 27,490 (78,500 - 51,010 = 27,490).
I already entered the L1 population in October, so I will just be adding the data from https://www150.statcan.gc.ca/t1/tbl1/en/tv.action?pid=9810021601.
Best wishes,
Chuck
Exactly.
The above links should be used to update other languages as well. Or at least those with a significant number of speakers (e.g., Kabyle, Somali, Assyrian Neo-Aramaic, Vietnamese, Swahili, etc.) or that are indigenous (e.g., Cree languages, Tahltan, etc.).
