Kerek speaker and ethnic population in the 2021 census

The 2021 census registered four (4) speakers of the language and 23 ethnic Kerek in the Russian Federation.

Editorial Action

No action taken.  According to Ethnologue, the last speaker of Kerek died in 2005 (Moseley 2010)

Thank you for all the information that you have given us concerning the 2020 Russian census reports.

We have already entered all of this information that you are offering us from the census into the Ethnologue database. It will all be in the next edition of the Ethnologue, coming out in about 2 weeks.
