Language Use

Vigorous use in all villages but one, where children learn Tok Pisin [tpi] first, but then learn to speak Toura [don] later (2004 SIL). All domains in most villages except church, where there is mixed use, and mixed use in all domains with Tok Pisin [tpi] in one village. Some young people, all adults. Mixed attitudes, from neutral to positive. Many also use English [eng]. Some also use Abadi [kbt]. Some also use Motu [meu]. Some also use Tok Pisin [tpi].
