Language Use

Home, community. Some young people, all adults, few child speakers. Positive attitudes. Most also use Russian [rus], with limited proficiency for older women (Forker 2019). Some also use Bezhta [kap] (Forker 2019). Some also use Dido [ddo] (Forker 2019). Also use Avar [ava], especially among older speakers and almost exclusively used for oral communication with Avar people (Forker 2019).
