Two mutually intelligible, nearly identical dialects (Carter et al 2011).

Mixed use in home, community, church with Tok Pisin [tpi] (Carter et al 2011). Used by all. Positive attitudes. All also use Tok Pisin [tpi] (Carter et al 2011). A few also use Sio [xsi], especially older men (Carter et al 2011).
