The language transmission between the parent's generation and the children majorly through Indonesian. The language used among the children generation (between 5-12 years old) is mainly Indonesian. However, the communication between the children and the parents or grandparents' generation is fully mixed between Indonesian and the vernacular language. The finding of the wheel of vitality suggested that Moi is shifting (EGIDS 7).

Editorial Action

We will adjust the language vitality of Moi Kelim (Moi) [mxn] in Indonesia, for inclusion in the next edition of the Ethnologue, the 26th, which will be released in one week.

The term Moi mainly refers to the ethnic identity which cover Moi and Seget. The community preferred to be called Moi Kelim. 

Editorial Action

We will change the primary name of [mxn] from Moi to Moi Kelim, a language of Indonesia. We will also represent `Moi' as an ethnic term covering both Seget [sbg] and Moi, all to be included in the next edition of the Ethnologue, the 26th, which will be released in one week.
