Other CommentsISO 639-3:
qvwDr. Rodolfo Cerrón-Palomino, a leading expert in modern Andean linguistics, who grew up speaking Wanca Quechua in Huancayo, Junín, Peru, says in his works on Wanca Quechua that the speakers of this variety refer to their language as 'kichwa.' This information may be found in his Gramática quechua: Junín-Huanca, Lima, 1976, p. 29, and in his Diccionario quechua: Junín-Huanca, Lima, 1976, p. 248. 'Runa Simi' and 'Wanca Nunashimi' are NOT autonyms of this language at all.
