Language Use

Some who marry in do not learn to speak Kaki Ae [tbd] (Potter et al 2015). Used by all. Positive attitudes. Many also use Tok Pisin [tpi], especially young people (Potter et al 2015). Some also use Hiri Motu [hmo], especially older adults (Potter et al 2015). Some also use Tairuma [uar] (Potter et al 2015). Some also use Toaripi [tqo] (Potter et al 2015). A few also use English [eng] (Potter et al 2015). A few also use Orokolo [oro] (Potter et al 2015).
