Location

Far North region: Mayo-Tsanaga division, southeast Bourrha subdivision, Tchevi village, 5 quartiers found in an area 10 km in diameter northeast of Dourbeye; some in North region: Mayo-Louti division.

Language Use

Home, friends, work, ceremonies. Some young people, all adults. Interviewees stated that the youth from both villages speak Fulfulde more than Tsuvan (Brye 2001). Most also use Adamawa Fulfulde [fub], with diglossia. Also use French [fra], as medium of instruction in school.
