SOV; 2 genders (masc./fem.); dual number for both second and third person; case-marking; verb affixes mark person and number of subject and object; 14 consonants and 5 vowels; inclusive/exclusive pronouns; clause chaining constructions.

Language Use

Adults only. All shifting to Papuan Malay [pmy] (de Sousa 2006). Many also use English [eng] (de Sousa 2006). Many also use Tok Pisin [tpi] (de Sousa 2006).
